INGREDIENTS
- 1 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk (such as Eagle brand)
- 2 Tbsp. Fantastic Foragers Tuscan Sunrise herbal blend
- 1 Tbsp. Fantastic Foragers Vitamin C powder
- ½ cup red wine vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup of sun dried tomatoes, diced and drained
- 1 cup of cooked, chopped bacon or pancetta
- 1 cup shredded fresh good-quality parmesan cheese (Parmesan Reggiano is recommended)
PREPARATION
- Combine the sweetened condensed milk, Tuscan Sunrise herb blend, Vitamin C powder, vinegar, and water, stirring until uniform.
- Add the diced sun dried tomatoes and the chopped bacon, and mix well. Fold in the parmesan cheese until uniform.
- Use the sauce right away, or divide into your desired portion sizes and freeze until later.
Makes approximately 1 quart of sauce.
